CHICAGO – The next time Michigan State football players leave the state on official team business, they’ll be heading to Piscataway, N.J., for an Oct. 10 night game at Rutgers — a big moment for fifth-year senior and Jersey native Shilique Calhoun, who is already seeking tickets.
No. 6 MSU opens the season Sept. 4 at Western Michigan, and the rest of the road schedule is daunting and exciting for the Spartans. The Oct. 17 trip to Michigan will be a chance for everyone on the MSU roster to get their first win in Ann Arbor — though MSU has won six of seven in the series, three of the past four have been at MSU and the Wolverines won the 2012 game at home. – Read more at Freep.com
